UNESCO has its work cut out!
UNESCO is hoping to come up with a World Heritage site doctrine for “differentiating restoration, reconstruction, renewal (and other related approaches such as musealisation, preservation etc.) in order to find the best ways to respond to needs in specific situations”. If they can do that for specific situations then cold fusion will be a doddle. Take Avebury for instance, erecting ancient stones is a no-no but erecting new houses is a yes-yes. It’ll be some doctrine that covers all that!
