OK, it’s not quite new (it will be held a second time on 20th December 2012 ) but it’s so good we just had to mention it.

A while back someone put in a Freedom of Information request to find out the total cost of policing the summer solstice but Wiltshire Police refused to say. Maybe their computer melted. There’d be no such risk in the case of the superb (and quite likely authentic) Lantern Procession along the line of the original Avenue!
