Just think, if you haven’t been keeping an eye on our Events Diary you could have missed this! It’s a special early evening bookable tour (for over 12’s) being run by English Heritage next Saturday (to include a visit to the stones), all about the stars and planetary movements and how early man may have utilised them.

It is, yes. If you follow the link in the article, you’ll see Adult tickets are £25/£30. http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/daysout/events/heaven-earth-tours-22-nov/

It’s English Heritage. It’s Stonehenge. We don’t set the prices, we just report ’em! 😉

It is, but not as expensive as watching a nil-nil draw at (say) Spurs and a lot more memorable!

Wow, I was not expecting that much. £8-£10 yes, but £30 is simply ridiculous and blatant profiteering from a national monument. Consider also it is a ticketed event so what are the chances of a clear night sky? Cloud cover and you are stood there in the dark looking at nothing. Silly idea for the money.

Agreed. Please don’t shoot the messenger!

What are the chances of a clear sky? pretty damn low I would think. No wonder they want the money up front -Scandalous

Well, I don’t work for EH (not by a long chalk!) but I’d hope they’d be aware it’s mostly cloudy in England in November and will still be intending to put on a pretty good show in front of their big screen thingy, a bit like a planetarium. I’d love to go.

Not much of a description of the event by EH. Poor marketing

What on earth are EH thinking of with this stunt? Sure, they will make a lot of money from the public foolish enough to pay their money and hoping to enjoy the show but it is nothing more than astrology. What next? an evenings dowsing at the circle? Come on EH, raise your game and stop this stunt.

Lots of negativity on here. Support the event and EH at least they are trying to do something different
