Breton Gnomes dancing around a Stone Circle [late C19th]

While we don’t approve of zero rules at stone circles the opposite, a quango acting in an anti-democratic fashion, is far worse.

In the words of Hirst, 1995 (The Quango debate, p180): “Quangos are a means of farming out government functions based on distrust of the public, the belief that they are best left as passive consumers, and a belief that administrative accountability through management procedures is preferable to democratic control.

That is what is happening at Stonehenge, to everyone’s permanent loss.

More money is needed in the fight against the Stonehenge short tunnel scheme which hands a near-monopoly over even seeing Stonehenge to a quango. If you possibly can, please contribute to the fight opposing it here. ___________________________________________________________
