John Penrose..... no messing, just the facts.

To everyone’s relief, on Monday John Penrose (Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport; Weston-Super-Mare, Conservative) told parliament:

The Government are fully committed to protecting and conserving our heritage assets, and to realising the cultural, social, economic and environmental benefits of the historic environment. I am currently evaluating which elements of the draft Bill have already been implemented through other mechanisms, and which might potentially still be desirable in future. I will make announcements on any conclusions I reach as soon as time permits. In the meantime I can assure the public that ’twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe; all mimsy were the borogoves, and the mome raths outgrabe. And as in uffish thought he stood, the Jabberwock, with eyes of flame, came whiffling through the tulgey wood, and burbled as it came!
